SMS Opt-In Workflow

ICS SubHub is a private workforce scheduling app for school faculty, staff, and substitute teachers. Because the product is behind a login, this public page documents the complete SMS consent path and required disclosures used inside the app.

Message flow summary

  1. An administrator creates an account for a faculty, staff, or substitute user. Accounts are not created by public signup.
  2. The user signs in at https://icssubhub.com/auth.
  3. The user opens their profile and notification preferences, adds or confirms a mobile number, and reviews the SMS consent checkbox.
  4. SMS is off by default. The SMS toggle cannot be enabled until the user actively checks the consent box.
  5. The app stores the consent timestamp and consent text, then sends only operational messages related to the user's shifts, coverage assignments, job availability, reminders, or account activity.

  • Message frequency varies based on shift and coverage activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
  • Reply HELP for help.
  • The in-app consent checkbox links to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • Mobile numbers, opt-in data, and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

ICS SubHub is a private workforce scheduling application for school faculty, staff, and substitute teachers. User accounts are created by an administrator; there is no public signup.

To opt in to SMS notifications, an employee must:
  1. Sign in to ICS SubHub at https://icssubhub.com/auth.
  2. Add or confirm a mobile phone number in their profile.
  3. Open Notification Preferences.
  4. Review and check the SMS consent checkbox that reads: “I agree to receive SMS notifications from ICS SubHub about my shifts, coverage assignments, and account activity. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.
  5. Enable the SMS toggle. SMS is off by default and cannot be turned on until the consent checkbox is checked.

We store the timestamp of the consent and the exact consent text shown to the user. Once opted in, the user receives only operational messages related to their shifts, coverage assignments, job availability, reminders, and account activity.

Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, turning off the SMS toggle in Notification Preferences, or removing their phone number from their profile.
